Read the whole sequence
Note the number of days, when that period starts, the condition required, whether original packaging is necessary, and whether pickup is offered. A compression sofa often cannot be put back into its first box without equipment, so ask explicitly how an expanded return is handled. Keep a screenshot of the policy shown at checkout.
Calculate the real risk
A 'free return' may exclude certain locations, delivery fees, or changed-mind returns. Restocking charges and return freight can be meaningful on bulky furniture. Ask what happens if the sofa does not recover its intended shape; defect claims may use a different process from comfort returns. Contact support promptly and retain photos.
If the return route is unclear, the purchase is riskier than the headline policy suggests.
