Design around the animal you have, not a generic pet claim.
Identify the problem
For a shedding dog, fur visibility and vacuum access may dominate. For a cat, loose loops and exposed corners can be vulnerable. For an older pet, a low sofa might be easy to climb onto but hard for humans to rise from. A washable throw at the favored seat can be simpler than hunting for 'indestructible' fabric.
Check the routine
Can you clean underneath, treat an accident per the care code, and remove the cover if needed? Order a swatch and test how fur and lint show. Consider a stable sofa with cushions that do not slide during a jump. Keep claws and nails managed, but do not rely on that alone.
