The box is not the sofa
A compression sofa is packed with some of its air removed or its foam tightly folded. Once opened, the foam and upholstery regain volume. Designs vary: some are almost entirely foam, while others include a frame or separate modules. The shipping carton may be manageable, but the expanded sofa still needs its full floor space. Compare the boxed dimensions with your doorway and the finished dimensions with the room.
What changes after unboxing
Give it the recovery time in that model's instructions before judging the silhouette. Creases, uneven corners, or a firmer feel at first may settle; a persistent defect should be documented with photos and reported within the seller's claim window. Do not assume the sofa can be packed back into its original carton for a return.
A smaller delivery is useful, not a substitute for checking seat comfort, fabric, support, and return terms.
