Look for two weights
The listing may show finished product weight and separate carton weights. If the sofa ships in multiple modules, each box may be manageable even when the total is high. Delivery drivers may leave parcels at a lobby or doorstep rather than carry them upstairs. Confirm the service level before checkout.
Plan the last 30 feet
Measure stairs, landings, and door swing; arrange help for a heavy parcel and use a dolly where safe. Do not drag an unprotected box across shared floors. Open it near its destination because expanded foam may be awkward to turn. If the seller does not publish package weights, ask before buying.
'Ships in a box' should never be interpreted as 'easy for one person to carry.'
