Length is only one of several comfort measurements.
Check support points
A taller sitter may value a deeper seat and higher back, but proportions vary. Compare seat height, usable depth, back height above the seat, and arm position against a chair that works. If lounging sideways, measure unobstructed width between arms rather than overall sofa width.
Test the real posture
Sit with feet down and back against the cushions, then try the lounge position. A very soft seat can lower the effective height when occupied. Online, request dimensions the listing does not provide and check the return policy. Do not assume a sofa labeled 'oversized' supports a tall person well.
Fit is personal; use your own seated measurements instead of a height-based product label.
