Make one seat work across living, dining, and sleeping zones.
Draw the daily map
A studio sofa may face a television, divide the sleeping area, and double as guest seating. Place it where it clarifies zones without blocking daylight or the path to the bathroom. An open-legged profile can feel lighter; a low foam design can feel calmer but may sit too close to the floor for dining.
Choose useful versatility
A movable ottoman can be a footrest, spare seat, or coffee-table substitute with a tray. A sleeper can help guests but needs floor space when opened and a storage plan for bedding. Measure both the daytime and unfolded footprints. Resist a feature you will use twice a year if it compromises everyday comfort.
The right studio sofa improves the ordinary Tuesday, not only the occasional overnight visit.
