Compare three dimensions, not one.
Measure the actual cabin
Record the clear door opening, interior width, depth, and height; note whether the parcel can be turned inside. A box that fits through the door lengthwise may not rotate once inside. Check building rules for reserving or protecting an elevator, and compare the largest carton—not the average one.
Plan for the expanded sofa too
If the sofa may move later, compare the largest finished module with the elevator and alternative stair route. Some packages arrive separately; verify box count and weight. Do not rely on a product photo to estimate scale. Ask the seller for exact packaged measurements when they are absent.
The useful measurement is the tightest three-dimensional turn from curb to room.
