Verify fit and feel
Record the finished width, depth, height, seat height, seat depth, and usable seating width. Compare every carton with the route through your building. Tape the footprint on the floor, including any chaise. Ask how the seat is constructed and whether a low profile suits the people who will use it.
Verify the transaction
Save the cleaning code, warranty, expansion instructions, delivery service, and return terms. Determine whether an expanded sofa can be collected and who pays. Check the total in USD with taxes and shipping. If the seller cannot explain a missing dimension or return requirement, do not let a countdown timer decide for you.
A checklist is useful because the most expensive surprises usually hide outside the hero photograph.
