A little coordination saves a lobby full of boxes.
Ask the building
Find out whether large deliveries need a reservation, insurance certificate, elevator padding, or restricted hours. Then confirm box count and carrier service with the seller. Tell roommates or staff when parcels may arrive and where they may be left. Check whether you can safely move them yourself.
Prepare inside
Clear the door-to-room path and protect vulnerable corners. Have a safe cutting tool, instructions, and a place for packaging. Photograph damage before discarding a carton. If boxes arrive separately, do not assume a missing one is lost until you check the tracking numbers and seller guidance.
Delivery succeeds when building rules, carrier service, and your own lifting plan line up.
